On June 3, 2021, a number of contracts were signed for the design and supply of the main equipment for the modernization of the CHPP-4 of Tarazenergocenter JSC

In accordance with these contracts, the design and reconstruction of general plant equipment will be carried out by JSC "ROTEK", the supply of new turbines will be carried out by JSC "Ural Turbine Plant", LLC "Sibenergomash-BKZ" will reconstruct three boiler units, and LLC "Elektrotyazhmash-Drive" will supply two turbine generators with a capacity of 63 MW.

CHPP-4 of Tarazenergocenter JSC, Republic of Kazakhstan, was commissioned in 1963. The power equipment has been in operation for more than 57 years and requires replacement due to the physical wear and tear of all systems of the power facility. Consumers of thermal energy are mainly the population of the city (80%), budget institutions, organizations and other legal entities (20%). The installed electric capacity of the CHPP-4 is 60 MW, the thermal capacity is 658 Gcal/h.

The reconstruction participants are faced with the task of doubling the installed electric capacity of the power plant, increasing the steam capacity of boiler units, as well as bringing the power plant's emissions to values that meet the requirements of the environmental legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The project should be fully implemented within 3 years.

As part of the signed contract, Privod LLC will manufacture and supply two TTK-63-2U3-P (6.3 kV) turbogenerators with a static excitation system.

Turbogenerators of the TTK-63-2U3-P brand, with a nominal active power of 63 MW, are designed to generate electricity when connected to a steam turbine when directly connected to the distribution electrical network. When developing these generators, a number of design solutions have been applied that distinguish them from traditional ones both in design and in manufacturing technology. As a result, an improvement in the weight and size characteristics and the main indicators that determine reliability (favorable levels of heating, vibration, noise) is achieved while maintaining high efficiency. In addition, equipment maintenance and repair has been significantly simplified. For 15 years since the start of production, the TTK series turbogenerators have been highly appreciated by power engineers based on the results of their operation.
