Elektrotyazhmash-Privod has shipped two electric motors of the VAO 3 series

In October 2020, Elektrotyazhmash-Privod shipped two explosion-proof asynchronous electric motors of the VAO3-450LA-2UHL2 series with a power of 315 kW and a rotation speed of 3000 revolutions per minute to Promkhimtech LLC.

Distinctive features of the BAO3 series motors from electric motors with the same power and speed of the BAO2 and BAO5 series is that with the degree of protection IP54 of the electric motor and the degree of protection IP55 of the output boxes, they are marked with explosion protection 1ExdeIICT4Gb.

This marking confirms that the electric motor has an explosion-proof shell and belongs to the category of equipment used for operation in conditions of possible formation of industrial explosive mixtures of gases and suspensions – hydrogen.

To ensure the required level of explosion protection, a complete redesign of the design of bearing units and electric motor shields, boxes for connecting power cables, heat monitoring sensors and anti-condensate heating was carried out.
