"Privod" started manufacturing hydro generators for Krasnogorsk Small hydroelectric power plants

In March 2020, a contract for the supply of 4 sets of hydrogenerator equipment for the Krasnogorsk small hydroelectric power plants under construction in the Karachay-Cherkess Republic was signed between LLC mges Stavropol and KCR and LLC Elektrotyazhmash-Privod. LLC "MGES Stavropol and KCR" is a 100 % subsidiary of PJSC "RusHydro" and carries out the construction of small hydroelectric power plants in the North Caucasus region of the Russian Federation.

The RusHydro hydroelectric project provides for the construction of two small hydroelectric power plants on the Kuban river below the current Zelenchukskaya HPP-HPP: Krasnogorsky MGPP-1 and MGPP-2. The capacity of each small HPP will be 24.9 MW. The new hydroelectric power stations will not only generate electricity,but also equalize the fluctuations in the water level in their reservoir, which occur when changing the operating modes of the Zelenchukskaya HPP. This will remove seasonal restrictions on the capacity of the Zelenchukskaya HPP and provide favorable conditions for water users downstream.

In accordance with the concluded contract, LLC "Elektrotyazhmash-Privod" must supply four hydrogenerators with a unit capacity of 12.45 MW complete with static excitation systems, sets of accessories for installation and sets of spare parts, as well as provide services for supervision of installation, and perform commissioning work on the supplied equipment.

LLC Elektrotyazhmash-Privod has considerable experience in deliveries and works for the needs of enterprises of PJSC «RusHydro» Over the past 15 years, the following major projects have been completed:
- Modernization of Saratov HPP hydro generators in factory conditions with increased capacity;
- Supply of hydrogenerator equipment for Gotsatlinskaya HPP;
- Replacement of reverse thrust bearings on generators-engines of Zagorskaya PSPP;
- Delivery of hydrogenerator equipment for Egorlyk HPP-2.
