Privod Started Manufacturing Hydrogenerators for Ezminskaya HPP

At the end of December, 2019 RusHydro PJSC and Elektrotyazhmash-Privod LLC signed a contract for supply of 3 sets of hydrogenerator equipment for needs of Ezminskaya HPP, which is a part of the North Ossetian Branch of RusHydro PJSC.

Ezminskaya HPP is a hydroelectric power plant in the Terek River in North Ossetia near the village of Ezmi. HPP is one of the largest hydroelectric power plants in North Ossetia, and also has the longest derivation tunnel 7.5 km long in Russia. The first unit was put into operation in 1954. The installed capacity of HPP is 45 MW.

As a part of the comprehensive modernization Program of RusHydro PJSC, a large-scale upgrade of Ezminskaya HPP is planned. One of the main stages of this program is replacement of hydraulic units with increase of unit capacity. Upon reconstruction completion, capacity of HPP will be 60 MW.

In accordance with the concluded contract, Elektrotyazhmash-Privod LLC must supply three hydrogenerators with a unit capacity of 20 MW within 3 years complete with brushless excitation systems, a set of accessories for installation and sets of operational spare parts.

Electrotyazhmash-Privod LLC has considerable experience of hydrogenerator equipment deliveries for needs of RusHydro JSC. Over the last 15 years, the following major projects have been completed: :
- modernization of 6 hydro generators of Saratov Hydroelectric Power Plant under factory conditions with increase in capacity;
- replacement of reverse thrust bearings for 6 generators/motors of Zagorskaya Hydroelectric Pumped Storage Power Plant;
- delivery of 4 sets of hydrogenerator equipment for Yegorlykskaya HPP-2.
