Motor with Сapacity of 31.5 MW for Severstal PJSC

At the end of the year synchronous turbomotor ТДС-31500-2УХЛ4 with capacity of 31.5 MW was manufactured and tested for compressor drive made by JSC REP Holding for new installation of electrical blower station (EVD) No. 4 of Cherepovets Steel Mill of Severstal PJSC. Existing EVD-1,2,3 are intended to ensure blowing for blast furnaces DP-5 and stand by furnaces DP-4. Synchronous motors with frequency converter are used for compressor drives to ensure smooth start.

One of the Customer’s requirements was ensuring the necessity to start unit EVD-4 by frequency converter existing at the facility. Turbomotor ТДС-31500-2УХЛ4 meets all requirements of the Technical Regulations of the Customs Union.
