Synchronous Vertical-Shaft Hydrogenerator СВ-845/135-40 for Ust-Khantayskaya HPP

At the end of August at Ust-Khantayskaya HPP in Krasnoyarsk Krai within the limits of complex modernization of the plant the fifth start-up complex was put into commercial operation. It includes synchronous vertical-shaft hydrogenerator СВ-845/135-40 УХЛ4 made by Elektrotyazhmash-Privod LLC.

New hydrogenerators differ from old ones not only by use of advanced materials, but also more reliable jointless stator design and unit capacity increased up to 73 MW. Modernization of Ust-Khantayskaya HPP allows increasing total capacity of the plant from 458.5 to 511 MW.

Complete renewal of HPP equipment consisting of seven starting complexes is planned to be completed in 2021. Right now on the shore of the Khantayka River installation of equipment for the sixth unit is being prepared.

Now Elektrotyazhmash-Privod LLC manufactures the seventh set of hydrogenerator СВ-845/135-40 УХЛ4, which will be shipped to the Customer in summer of 2020.
